GMK has become an icon in the mech keys community. It’s no wonder why every set the company makes is of the highest-quality ABS plastic with Doubleshot legends that won’t rub off over time. It’s a difference you can feel.

So why is GMK so expensive? Following are some reasons:

1 two-color molding resists wear;

2 Bright colors with high contrast;

3 Crisp sound when typing;

4 Base is a good match with the existing keyboard

5 Cherry's mold

6 Cool Spacebar

7 1.5mm thickness.

DROP + REDSUNS GMK RED SAMURAI CUSTOM KEYCAP SET

GMK Red Samurai

GMK Red Samurai, the first keycap set from designer RedSuns, features a striking colorway evocative of a Japanese warrior’s armor. The fierce combination of red and dark gray with golden accents and legends will complement any keyboard, especially dark ones.

If you've bought GMK Keycaps before it's pretty much exactly what you hear and expect. Legends are strong and very clean, good quality without any weird cast/mold markings. Colors, legends, and appearance are crisp without any issues what-so-ever. Sound is great as to be expected with quality caps backed by new and freshly lubed switches.

DROP + MITO GMK HENNESSEY CUSTOM KEYCAP SET

DROP + MITO GMK HENNESSEY CUSTOM KEYCAP SET

This one with a more subdued look. Styled in monochromatic fashion, GMK Hennessey is similar to MiTo’s other one-off sets, like Cockpit for Godspeed and Cyberdeck for SA Laser.

Don't expect something fancy as this is just a regular black on white set. The colorway is classic and functional that goes well with a variety of board colors, at the same time the use of lower case letters on the modifiers gives it a modern twist. There are some reviews about warped spacebar and please be careful of the marks and dents on the keycaps.

DROP + MITO GMK GODSPEED CUSTOM KEYCAP SET

DROP + MITO GMK GODSPEED CUSTOM KEYCAP SET

The Godspeed custom keycap set is inspired by the iconic colorway on the original Apollo 11 Lunar Module Cockpit, which makes it an essential keycap set for space nerds. The colors of the alphas are more of a beige cream, which gives it a retro look. The blue is a soft powdery blue that is very pleasing. The red and yellow keys offer some nice pop. The spacebars do have some minor curling on the edges, such that if you place it on a flat surface, you will see a small gap. These GMK keycaps are slightly lower than the PBT cherry profile.

DROP + NEPHLOCK GMK KAIJU CUSTOM KEYCAP SET

Taking inspiration from classic Japanese monster movies, GMK Kaiju is the latest from designer Nephlock, This set exceeds my expectation with the vibrant colorway, the green with the orange looks so nice with any whiteboard or green board. it looks simultaneously vintage and futuristic on any retro white keyboard. The kitting is versatile that hiragana sub legends without having to pay base kit + alphas are a steal. The only wish is it had more compatibility for 65 percent of layouts.

Featuring aqua alphas, cyan modifiers, and mustard, crimson, and white accents, GMK Belafonte is the perfect set for aquatic adventure. This colorway is brand new without copying a terminal scheme and reissuing or rebranding of older sets, if you are a huge fan of The Life Aquatic, this set is a beautiful homage to that movie. Unfortunately being ABS material, your acid hands make it shiny within a month.

DROP + ZAMBUMON GMK NAUTILUS NIGHTMARES KEYCAP SET

DROP + ZAMBUMON GMK NAUTILUS NIGHTMARES KEYCAP SET

GMK Nautilus keycaps are Zambumon’s Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea–themed keycap set, this is going to be a love it or hate it for most people, if you wanted deep green set this probably won't end up being your cup of tea. A lot of customers are complaining about the color is different from rendered pictures, Renders were a nice deep green, almost forest. The reality was teal. It is very difficult to accurately photograph- especially with a camera phone, and a lot of the photos of it on here do not properly represent the way it looks in person.

ORIGINATIVE GMK KEYCAP EXTRAVAGANZA

ORIGINATIVE GMK KEYCAP EXTRAVAGANZA

This is a tribute to 11 different sets in the GMK lineup—from classics like Dolch, Classic Retro, and Cream Cheese Green to lesser-known (but still loved) sets like Penumbra, Red Honey, and Blue Alert.

They are thick ABS (1.5mm) with pretty much perfect legends. Their thickness gives them a nice bassy sound. ABS gets shiny over time, but the shine is less evident on light-colored sets such as "True Olivetti". If you hate the looks of shiny keycaps, I recommend you go for a light color.

If you really think $150 for plastic is a good financial decision, then you won't be disappointed by this product. They come with tons of extra caps to help it fit any layout.

There are some negatives though: the kits are a few years old and as such, they don't have as many keys available as the current ones so keyboard compatibility is a little bit limited.

MASSDROP X ZAMBUMON GMK JAMÓN CUSTOM KEYCAP SET

MASSDROP X ZAMBUMON GMK JAMÓN CUSTOM KEYCAP SET

MASSDROP X ZAMBUMON GMK JAMÓN CUSTOM KEYCAP SET

To pay tribute to the wonderfully salty cured meat, native Spanish designer Zambumon—who you may know from sets like Serika and Nautilus—created GMK Jamón. A collection of deep reds, the set features white legends to convey the marbling of fat, where jamón gets its irresistibly savory flavor. Colors perfectly matched to the concept it goes surprisingly well with the orange case or black case, The mixing options should be awesome with other sets.

DROP GMK WHITE-ON-BLACK CUSTOM KEYCAP SET

DROP GMK WHITE-ON-BLACK CUSTOM KEYCAP SET

Made in Germany using original Cherry tooling, the set comprises 140 ultra-thick, ultra-durable ABS keycaps that put PBT to the test. The colors used are GMK's classic CR Black and WS1 White for a complementary look that will jibe with any keyboard.

White on Black is no doubt the ultimate weapon on your arsenal, it just goes so well with so many colors and especially for those that love a blacked-out or black and white build. The set offers kitting for most keyboard layouts (60, 65, 75, TKL, 1800, 100%, etc.)

Unfortunately, this set being black, you will notice ABS shine much faster than other colors, so keep that in mind! All in all, a fantastic set and a super reasonable price for in-stock GMK!
